CLASS PROCEDURES
1.
Attendance—there
will be no talking during attendance. Students
should have their books opened reviewing that days lesson, taking out homework
that is due, organizing notes, etc. (task orientated)
2.
Prayers—one
student per week will lead the class in prayers. Intentions will be short.
3.
Class
Monitor—rotated weekly, will be responsible for collection of assignments,
checking papers for proper order and proper labeling, etc.
4.
Each
student will be assigned a number. This
number is to be put in the right hand corner of all assignments (homework,
exams, papers, etc). Failure to do
so will result in lose of a points.
5.
Assignments—all
assignments will have your name printed or typed on the top left
side of the paper, dated on the top right side of the paper (under your number).
6.
Writing—all
written assignments are to be typed, double-spaced, and in proper format (unless
done in class). Hand written
assignments must be neatly presented, using both sides of the paper--no blank
backs. Re-writes must have the
original attached. Students who
type their homework will receive bonus credit towards their final grade.
7.
Portfolio—all
students must have a portfolio with at least three pockets.
All assignments, grade log, and handouts are to be kept in your
portfolio. Portfolios are to be brought to every class.
8.
Journal—your
journal notebook must be a sewn “marble” type—80/100 pages at least.
Do not use a spiral or three ring binders.
Journals are to be brought to every class.
9.
The class
will be randomly checked for proper materials brought to class, including
homework. This check will result in
a homework grade.
10.
Waste my
time; I’ll waste your time, either after class or after school.
