CLASS PROCEDURES

1.     Attendance—there will be no talking during attendance.  Students should have their books opened reviewing that days lesson, taking out homework that is due, organizing notes, etc. (task orientated)

2.     Prayers—one student per week will lead the class in prayers.  Intentions will be short.

3.     Class Monitor—rotated weekly, will be responsible for collection of assignments, checking papers for proper order and proper labeling, etc.

4.     Each student will be assigned a number.  This number is to be put in the right hand corner of all assignments (homework, exams, papers, etc).  Failure to do so will result in lose of a points.

5.     Assignments—all assignments will have your name printed or typed on the top left side of the paper, dated on the top right side of the paper (under your number).

6.     Writing—all written assignments are to be typed, double-spaced, and in proper format (unless done in class).   Hand written assignments must be neatly presented, using both sides of the paper--no blank backs.  Re-writes must have the original attached.  Students who type their homework will receive bonus credit towards their final grade.

7.     Portfolio—all students must have a portfolio with at least three pockets.  All assignments, grade log, and handouts are to be kept in your portfolio. Portfolios are to be brought to every class.

8.     Journal—your journal notebook must be a sewn “marble” type—80/100 pages at least.  Do not use a spiral or three ring binders.  Journals are to be brought to every class.

9.     The class will be randomly checked for proper materials brought to class, including homework.  This check will result in a homework grade.

10. Waste my time; I’ll waste your time, either after class or after school.
