Guidance Mission Statement

The Guidance Department at Immaculata High School is designed to provide counseling in academic, emotional, and interpersonal development. We believe in a program that is proactive in nature with a focus on each student's potential for growth within the context of his or her individual and family perspective.

General Announcements
Immaculata has purchased the Internet product, the Coin Career Community (COIN3 ). The purpose of this program is to help the student begin the process of data collecting for career/college search starting in the freshman year and culminating in the senior year with resume builders, college /scholarship searches, and financial aid.

All students have an account that is accessible to the counselor, student and parent. Follow these directions in order to begin using the site. The students will access the site by using their password and user name given to them in a special class. Ask your child for the password. They understand that you are part of this process. Parents to access the Coin Career Community, please follow these instructions closely:

• Make sure that you are using Internet Explorer 5.0+ or Netscape Communicator 6.0+ as your web browser.
• Open your browser and link to www.coin3.com.
• Click on the green 'go' button in the left sidebar.
• On the next screen, click the orange 'go' button under "Career Community".
• Enter your child’s username and the letter 'p'(no space or quotes), enter your child’s password and the letter 'p' (again, no spaces or quotes) and then enter the site ID 'NJ13167'.
• Click SUBMIT LOGIN
• In the event that you lose or forget your username/password, please contact your child’s counselor/teacher or Site Coordinator.
• Be sure to 'Logout' by clicking the Log Out tab in the upper right of the screen before you close your browser.

Guidance Bulletin Boards
There is a Guidance bulletin board for each grade. Please choose the appropriate bulletin board below.

You will need to use Adobe Acrobat Reader to view the bulletin boards. When you are finished viewing the one you desire, please click on your browser's 'back arrow' to return to the IHS web site.
