What is the HSPT?
The High School Placement Test (HSPT) is an assessment used by many Catholic high schools throughout the country and a required part of the admissions process for high schools in the Diocese of Metuchen. The exam is approximately 2.5 hours long. The format of the test is multiple choice. Students are tested on reading, sentence completion, verbal skills, spelling and vocabulary, and quantitative skills. Students can only take the HSPT one time so thorough preparation is critical. The HSPT prep course offered at Immaculata High School prepares students for all areas of the exam.
The HSPT Prep Course will be offered at Immaculata High School on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30 - 4:30 pm beginning on October 1 and ending on October 31.
The cost of the course is $250 and includes all materials, instruction, and the HSPT fee. The fee can be paid via Venmo (@ImmaculataHSNJ - please put "HSPT Prep-Course" and your student's name in the "What's This For" field) or by check made payable to Immaculata High School. Checks can be dropped off in the main office or mailed to:
