Anita and Edward Hogan

Benefactors

Anita and Ed HoganEd and Anitaʼs most monumental contribution was not only the level of financial commitment to both schools and the parish, but their involvement in forming the Spartan Education Foundation, which spearheaded so many initiatives at Immaculata. Working with Msgr. Kennedy, Ed Hogan had a vision on how to move Immaculata forward educationally and fiscally. Technology and building expansion were a must, as was a system of financial support for students in need. Ed became a leader of the 2000 Advisory Committee; from that group and Edʼs leadership, the Spartan Education Foundation was born. This foundation opened the door to significant financial contributions from parents, parishioners, and alumni, as well as corporate matching gifts and grants.

Anita served as a parish trustee for 6 years. Ed and Anita were generous contributors and even though Ed was always in the forefront, Anita was the rock behind the scenes and continued her generosity to the church and both schools after Ed's passing. For their efforts, the couple was awarded The Theodore Cardinal McCarrick Distinguished Partner in Catholic Education Award in 2006.
