Jack Cust '97

Jack CustDuring his high school years, Jack was a valuable asset to the Immaculata baseball team. Among his achievements were that he was Team Captain for both his junior and senior years, and had the honor of being named to the “All-State All-Group” team in his junior year. In his senior year, Jack earned a position on the All-American Team and, also the honor of being a member of the “All-Century” and “All-Decade” Teams. He was named the “NJ Gatorade Player of the Year”. Further achievements that year were that he led the team in 6 of 7 offensive categories and was named to the USA Today’s Super 25 list of baseball prospects. Finally, Jack was the recipient of the “Pierce Frauenheim” Award.

In 1997 Jack signed a professional contract with the Arizona Diamondbacks. He was the Diamondbacks’ first-round selection (No. 30 overall) in the free-agent draft. Currently, Jack plays left field with the Colorado Rockies. He has a record of more than 100 home runs as a professional and has won the honor of “2002 Triple A All-Star Game Most Valuable Player”. Jack Cust has been a Minor League All-Star at every level!
