Mike Deo '95

Mike DeoMike Deo graduated from Immaculata in 1995. He was a trailblazer for the Golf program helping to set the standards for those who were to follow him. During his career at Immaculata, he won the Somerset County Championship in 1994 and 1995. In his junior year, he won the NJSGA Junior championship and garnered 1st team All County and All Conference honors. During his senior season, he won the Parochial State championship and finished 3rd in the Tournament of Champions. He was named to the Star-Ledger All State golf team and was named the Player of the Year by the Courier News and Home News. The Courier News also named him to the All-Century Team for New Jersey High School Golfers. Mike enjoyed an outstanding college career and was a 4-year letter winner and two-time captain at the University of Maryland. Today, Mike continues to excel as one of the top amateur golfers in the New York Metropolitan area. His accomplishments include: finishing in the top 10 twelve times in the New Jersey State Amateur including a victory in 2009, winning the New Jersey Mid-Amateur in 2007, and seven top 10 finishes in the New York City Amateur including two victories in 2005 and 2008. He has represented the Metropolitan Golf Association on two international teams in matches against Ireland and France. He was named the New Jersey Golfer of the Year in 2009. In addition to his numerous successes in various amateur events, he has won Club Championships on nine occasions at four different clubs and holds several course records.
