Neil Rivers had an outstanding athletic career at Immaculata High School in both the basketball and football programs. In his junior year, Neil was named to the “All-State Parochial” basketball team. In his senior year, he was named to the “All-State parochial” football Team. Also during his senior year, Neil had the honor to serve as Team Captain for both the football and basketball teams.

Neil earned a four-year scholarship for basketball to St. Anselm College where he received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Management and Economics. He continued his education and earned Masters Degrees in Aerospace Science and Administration.

In 1987, Neil joined the Air Force where he received many commendations including the Meritorious Service Medal, the Air Force Commendation Medal, Aerial Achievement Medal, Southwest Asia Service Medal, Combat Readiness Medal, and the Air Force Outstanding Unit Award.
