Athletic Summer Camps

2019 SUMMER OF SPARTANS 

JUNIOR SPARTANS FOOTBALL CAMP

The Junior Spartans Football Camp will be under the direction of the Immaculata football coaching staff, current I.H.S. football players, current college football players, and special guests. All young men in grades 5, 6, 7, and 8 who attend this camp will have fun, learn new skills, and make new friends.

Football Camp: June 24–27; 9:00 AM-12:00 PM; Entering Grades 5–8


SPARTAN GIRLS BASKETBALL CAMPS

The Spartan Girls Basketball Camps, under the direction of Immaculata’s basketball coaching staff, are for girls going into grades 4 through 9. Instruction will be in fundamentals of the game—defense, offense, and passing, rebounding/boxing out, shooting and dribbling. Throughout the week, there will be games of five on five, three on three, and one on one. There will be contests in speed shooting, foul shooting, X-out, and other skills. Campers should provide their own gym sneakers, beverage (no glass bottles) and lunch/snack. Camp will be in Immaculata’s gymnasium.

Girls Basketball Camp 1: July 8–12; 8:00 AM–12:00 PM; Entering Grades 4–6

Girls Basketball Camp 2: July 8–12; 1:00 PM–5:00 PM; Entering Grades 7–9

SPARTAN BOYS BASKETBALL CAMP

The Spartan Boys Basketball Camps, under the direction of Immaculata’s coaching staff, are for boys going into grades 5 through 9. It is important for this age group to learn and strengthen the techniques and fundamentals. Instruction will be in fundamentals of the game—defense, offense, passing, rebounding/boxing out, shooting, and dribbling. Campers should provide their own gym sneakers, beverage (no glass bottles) and lunch/snack. Camp will be at Immaculata’s gymnasium.

Boys Basketball Camp 1: July 15–19; 9:00 AM–1:00 PM; Entering Grades 5–8

Boys Basketball Camp 2: July 22–26; 9:00 AM–1:00 PM; Entering Grades 7–9


SPARTAN GIRLS LACROSSE CAMP

The Spartan Girls Lacrosse Camp, under the direction of Immaculata’s girls lacrosse coaching staff, is designed to help young women entering grades 7 through 11 develop the fundamentals of lacrosse. Concentration will be on developing skills and techniques for the improvement of the individual player. All high school team members should make every effort to attend this camp. Campers should provide their own equipment; however, aside from sticks and gloves, some equipment may be available. Lacrosse camp will be on the turf field at Immaculata. Campers can provide their own beverage (no glass bottles).

Girls Lacrosse Camp: July 8–11; 3:00–6:00 PM; Entering Grades 7–11

SPARTAN BOYS LACROSSE CAMP

The Spartan Boys Lacrosse Camp, under the direction of Immaculata boys’ lacrosse coaching staff, is designed to help young men develop and improve the fundamentals of lacrosse. Instructors will concentrate on developing skills and techniques for the improvement of the individual player. To be more competitive on the high school level, it is imperative to practice and drill over the summer. Campers should provide their own equipment; however, aside from sticks and gloves, some equipment may be available. Lacrosse camp will be held on the turf field at Immaculata. Campers can provide their own beverage (no glass bottles).

Boys Lacrosse Camp: July 15–18; 9:00 AM–12:00 PM; Entering Grades 5–9


SPARTAN BOYS AND GIRLS TENNIS CAMP

The Spartan Boys And Girls Tennis Camp, under the direction of Immaculata’s tennis coaching staff will help young men and women develop the fundamentals of tennis. Drills for intermediate and advanced players will help to sharpen current skills and will also focus on strategy, sound footwork, and shot variety. Beginners are highly encouraged to attend to learn the rules of the game and develop basic stroke techniques. All levels will receive individual attention. Tennis-specific strength and conditioning will also be included. Campers should provide their own tennis racquet, tennis sneakers, sunscreen and water bottles. Tennis Camp will be at Green Knoll Tennis Center in Bridgewater.

Boys & Girls Tennis Camp: July 8–11; 3:00–6:00 PM; Entering Grades 7–12


BOYS AND GIRLS SOCCER CAMPS

The Spartan Boys And Girls Soccer Camps, under the direction of Immaculata’s soccer coaches, are designed to help young men and women learn and to improve the fundamentals of soccer. Focus will be on Individual and team techniques. Goalkeeper fundamentals will also be demonstrated in the camp. Soccer specific strength and conditioning will also be taught to enhance the fitness and agility levels of all those who attend. Beginners are highly encouraged to attend to learn the rules of the game and develop basic skills of ball control. Campers need to provide a soccer ball, turf cleats, mouth guard, shin guards, sunscreen, water bottles and a snack. Soccer camps will be on the turf field at Immaculata.

Boys Soccer Camp: July 15–18; 12:00–4:00 PM; Boys Entering Grades 7–12

Girls Soccer Camp: July 22–25; 12:00–4:00 PM; Girls Entering Grades 7–12


SPARTAN GIRLS VOLLEYBALL CAMP

The Spartan Girls Volleyball Camp, under the direction of Immaculata’s volleyball coaching staff, is designed to help beginners learn an appreciation for the sport, and help sharpen skills for the competitive player. Campers can provide their own beverage (no glass bottles) and lunch/snack. Volleyball camp will be in Immaculata’s gymnasium.
