Career Shadowing Program

Career shadowing is a work experience option where students learn about a career by spending a day with a professional in a chosen occupation. Students witness firsthand the work environment, employability and occupational skills necessary for a potential career. Career shadowing is designed to increase career awareness and provide the student with real life work experiences. The goal is for our students to get a realistic and meaningful understanding of a particular occupation.

Most of the program sponsors are Immaculata alumni, parents, and friends. All shadowing experiences are different, depending on the company that sponsors the student. Most of the time, shadowing takes place during normal work hours. Students can spend a full day or half day with the professional, depending on the professional’s schedule.
