Without the support of generous benefactors, parents, faculty, and alumni, so many of the programs at Immaculata would be seriously underfunded. Representing those people for the new Unitas Caritas designation for the Hall of Fame is the late Walter Kavanaugh, who quietly funded countless Immaculata endeavors and the tuitions of needy students; he worked tirelessly to help promote Catholic education on the local and state levels. Kavanaugh was instrumental in securing Brooks Field for home football games for Immaculata and transportation and books for all Catholic schools in the state.
