Army Staff Sgt. Andrew Lobosco '98, who was killed in Afghani tan in 2009, had an incredible military career. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 7th Special Force Group Airborne in Fort Bragg, NC. As a medical sergeant, he earned the distinction of being a Green Beret in 2007. He was deployed twice in the war on terror and his decorations include the Bronze Star and Purple Heart. Not only was he the fir t Spartan to lose his life in the military service, but the scope of his accomplishments in the army is outstanding.
