Mondelez International Consumer Scientist Visit

Monika Bagle, a Consumer Scientist for Mondelez International, came to talk to our Introduction to Foods and Nutrition class. Monika talked to the class about the food industry, her own role and how consumer science works.  She had the class participate in a sensory test where students tasted and compared Oreos from the US and Japan.  Students learned about the differences in products from different countries, how products get approved for market and how consumers play a part in production of new foods.
