This summer Justin Lordi '19 marched with the 10-time world champion, Cadets Drum and Bugle Corps, one of the oldest and most honored drum corps in the world.  Justin and the Cadets prepared virtually throughout the spring, and had a month-long training session before their summer tour.

Justin said, "Our rigorous four weeks of training to get our show ready for tour was the hardest I’ve ever had to work in my entire life." He added, "I kept pushing through with the encouragement of the amazing people and friends that I met within the program.  I had an absolute blast performing our show live in front of thousands, while traveling the country. It was seriously a once-in-a- lifetime experience, and I encourage all those with a passion for the marching arts to try and audition for a drum corps!"

Looking back at his time at Immaculata, Justin added, "I am still so thankful for everything the IHS music department has done for me to help me grow not only as a musician, but as a person. The school offers so many different musical ensemble outlets and experiences, ranging from marching band to the spring musical and even folk group.  Immaculata's amazing staff supported me along my journey to becoming a professional musician.  They were always willing to help out with any struggles I had personally or academically. I truly think I wouldn’t have developed into the kind and caring person I am today without them."

Justin is currently a junior at Ithaca College in New York and is pursuing a Bachelor's in Music Education. Congratulations Justin!
