Thank you to John Kulak '68, Cathy Rice Sloan '73 '77, Hugh Sloan '76, Kenny Greig '79 '83, Joanne and Mike Liscovitz '71 and Coach Joe Servedio for coming out to ensure that the stories from the annual alumni football game were passed on to the next generation. Founded on the Friday after Thanksgiving at the Vanderveer School property in the early 70's, the annual gathering of alumni for a post-Thanksgiving flag football game between classes was a time-honored tradition for more than 40 years.  Some of those early contests had the Bound Brook alumni taking on the graduates from Somerville or those who made their way across the river from Hillsborough.

Thanks to our friends from the Unitas Caritas Foundation, we were thrilled to see the game rekindled this year. With Pelton Esannason '20 serving as the designated quarterback, young alumni Trevor Witzel '19, Matt Bickel '11 '15, Brendan McNulty '21, Randy Behn '20, Dan McNulty '18, Chris Callahan '19, Joe Toto '16 '20, Ryan Enright '20, and Tommy McGuire '20 enjoyed their time together on the new turf field.  Dennis Kiernan '85 '89, Chris Wawrzyniak '92, Brian Quinn '89, Brian Hayden '95, John Dupras '82 '85, Rob Hellwig '93, and (off camera Rich Dupras '74 '78) were reminded of their own battles with classmates and the limited defense and made-up rules that would be applied depending upon the number of players on the field.

We hope you will join us next year, Friday, November 25, on our Immaculata High School turf field for the next alumni game.
