The Spartan XC Team had another very successful outing on Saturday when they competed in the Shore Coaches Invitational at one of the most famous and difficult high school courses in the country, infamously known for "The Bowl".

For most team members, this was their first time toeing the line at Holmdel, but fear is obviously not in their vocabulary as they rose to the challenge and slayed the course.

The team was again able to bring home some well-earned hardware:
Michael Harkins (Senior Captain) - 8th Place - 17:12 - 1min 15sec Course PR
Michael Schippnick (Junior) - 33rd Place - 18:35 -  1min 42sec Course PR
Nicki Harkins (Sophomore) - 27th Place - 21:52
Freshman, Caden Ludlow threw down a 30 second all-course PR, which is especially amazing considering how difficult the Holmdel course is.

The team now enters a 5 meet championship season when they are next in action at the Somerset County Championships on Thursday, October 14th at Pleasant Valley Park in Basking Ridge.
