Girls Volleyball Awards

Rosaleen Burns (#9) received the Most Improved Player award. Over the last few years, but especially this season, Rosie has really grown into her position as an Opposite Side Hitter and became a solid well-rounded player for the team.

Maryjaneane (MJ) Bautista (#1) and Tara Ryan (#4second row far right) were co-recipients of the Most Valuable Player award. These athletes were crucial in every single match and were key figures on this team. Everyday in the gym and through every drill and game, it was evident that these players were giving 100% of themselves. They were each some of the most consistent and high achieving members on the team this season. Both MJ and Tara recorded over 100 digs each throughout the season, the first athletes to do so in the program's history.

Vivian Lobelo (#14) received the Pierce Frauenheim Award. This award goes to the athlete that represents the ideals and legacy of Pierce Frauenheim, meaning someone who is always there for their teammates both on and off the court, consistently works to improve themselves, and exemplifies the pillars of Immaculata. Whether it is her service to the school community through leadership opportunities and Campus Ministry, pushing herself academically, and being everything we would want in a supportive teammate, Vivian shines in all of these regards. Not only does she work to improve her own game, but the coaches were also so impressed with the way she was always available to help her teammates.
