Students Volunteer For Local Soup Kitchen

Student volunteers for our Local Soup Kitchen (modeled upon Luke 14:13) learned about the sanctity of human life and the dignity in choice. The marginalized so often have little say regarding their food consumption dependent on the donation before them, whatever it may be. Our guests, each one of them, were asked “Would you like some: salad, sausage and peppers, chili, meatloaf, mashed potatoes, chicken casserole, carrots, beef stew, a banana and/or an orange or some candy”? We extend our thanks to students under the Cooking for Christ program and Student Chefs Take-Out service who empowered us to serve so many of the dishes, along with our invaluable adult cooks from Unico of Raritan. Our remaining Local Soup Kitchens for this school year take place on the first Wednesdays of March and June.
