The Immaculata Girls Fencing team delivered a moment to remember, earning their first meet victory ever with a thrilling win over Princeton High School. The milestone victory was led by standout performances from Layla Handcox, Jaelynn Campbell, and Rosalie Krenek, whose wins helped secure the historic result.
What makes this accomplishment even more remarkable is how new the team is to the sport. Many of these young women have been fencing for just one month, yet they faced a Princeton squad with years of experience—and rose to the challenge with confidence, grit, and teamwork.
We're Spartan proud of the entire team, including Sofia Caruso, Tessa Krehley, Hailey Thomas, Lillian Roccanova, Maria Suarez, Eva Camara, Eva Centolanza, Kayla Asare, and Justine Bermudez. Their dedication and determination continue to set the tone for a program on the rise.

This week also brought individual championship success for the fencing program as Jack Falcone was crowned the Somerset County Foil Championship champion. Coach Kestler shared, “Congratulations to our new Somerset County Foil Champion, Jack Falcone. I can’t say enough about his performance. Jack went undefeated in a tournament that fielded some of the best fencers in the entire state. I am so proud of Jack and all of our teammates who added big wins to their resumés.”

Congratulations to our Girls Fencing team on an unforgettable first win and to Jack Falcone for capturing the Somerset County Fencing title.
