Mrs. Kristin Camiolo named recipient of this year's Lux Dei Award!
Posted on 02/10/2026

Last week, Immaculata High School had the joy of honoring one of our own with a very special distinction. Mrs. Kristin Camiolo, a dedicated history teacher in our Social Studies Department, was awarded the prestigious Lux Dei — “Light of God” Award as part of our Catholic Schools Week celebrations.

The Lux Dei Award recognizes faculty and staff who embody the spirit of Christ-like service, bringing light, faith, and compassion into every classroom and interaction. Mrs. Camiolo’s unwavering commitment to our students, her deep passion for history, and her inspiring witness to our school’s Catholic values make her a shining example of what it means to live the Spartan mission each day.

Her students know her not only as a teacher who brings the past to life through engaging lessons, but also as a mentor who listens, encourages, and challenges them to think with faith and purpose. Whether guiding thoughtful discussions on historical events or offering a kind word when it’s needed most, Mrs. Camiolo truly reflects the light of God in all she does.

Please join us in congratulating Mrs. Camiolo on this well-deserved honor — a moment that highlights both her personal dedication and the spirit that makes Immaculata such a special place to learn and grow. 💫
