Junior Wins National Competition

Congratulations to Shannon Reinhart, a junior at Immaculata, who recently competed in the HITS Ocala Holiday Classic Horse show. She won the title of Champion for the weekend show, based on her performance over the 3 days in the event called Junior/Amateur Owner 1.25 Meter Jumpers. This event is based on successfully clearing about 20 obstacles within the time allowed, and the placing is also based on the fastest time.

Shannon rides and trains her horse, Churchill, with Willowbrook Farm, which is based in Far Hills, NJ and Ocala, Florida. She trains up to 6 days a week; however during the winter, the horses are in Florida, so the training is much more limited. She shows in the Hunter/Jumper as well as Equitation Division of United States Equestrian Federation AA rated shows within the East Coast. Riding since the age of 7, Shannon has earned her USEF Varsity Letter the last two years, based on her competitive and practical experience.
