Model UNAt the Model United Nations Conference at Hershey Lodge this past weekend, students from Immaculata met with 1,700 other high school students to discuss an array of humanitarian issues and celebrate this year's theme of Respect.
Led by our Youth Secretariats Peter Gallo, Katie Hendrzak, Tim Albano, and Carlie Chukrallah, 47 Immaculata delegates engaged in high level debate and were able to pass a number of resolutions to help address issues, such as the refugee crisis, a lack of clean water, and border disputes. The team also was able to celebrate Mass on Saturday with members from other schools that reinforced how we are all one part of the Body of Christ. Immaculata received the award for Outstanding Delegation and Carlie Chukrallah was awarded with Outstanding CRP (Country Research Paper).
