Valentine cards making in CM

Eleven Spartan volunteers have been collectively creating 287 Valentine’s Day cards for the elderly residents within CareOne at Somerset Valley. The bundles of joy were delivered for distribution among the residents this weekend. These students took advantage of the new Immaculata Take-Out service opportunity through Campus Ministry called Holiday Letters of Love. Last semester fourteen students, together, made over 220 Christmas cards through the same program; those were distributed among residents at the Chelsea at Bridgewater.

Take Out Service at Immaculata is volunteering on your terms regarding how, when, and where it is done—a very convenient ministry during times when we find ourselves at home more. Take Out service opportunities at Immaculata can be found on the school calendar under weekends; currently there are eight awaiting your creative touch as to how, when, and where you wish to approach them. Most popular are Student Chefs, K-Cups ‘n Flix and collecting items for composting. The next Holiday Letters of Love event hits the service wall next week; the theme: Easter/spring flowers—Items are due March 30, 2021.

Volunteers WELCOMED!
