Service and Stewardship
This Service camp will allow students to “give back” in a variety of unique ways; helping local organizations assist those in poverty, the elderly, those with special needs and the environment! Students will spend time engaging in activities at the local food bank, a garden which provides food to local soup kitchens, and a “Bring your App day” at a local nursing home, just to name a few. Students will also work on-site at Immaculata, on a project for the homeless, in conjunction with Immaculate Conception Parish. Facilitated by our own campus ministers, this camp will provide a wonderful opportunity to experience some of the over 160 service opportunities offered by our two time, national award winning Campus Ministry. “Be doers of the word, not only hearers of the word.” James 1:22-27.
July 23–27; 10:00 AM–1:00 PM; Entering Grade 6–9
Digital Design & Photography
The Digital Design and Photography Camp will be led by award-winning filmmaker, professional photographer/videographer, and IHS Art Faculty member Mr. Joe DeVito. Designed to give students the tools, resources, and instruction needed to hone their skills, students will learn how to take a successful and meaningful photograph, explore the powerful capabilities of Adobe Photoshop software, and design their own masterful digital art creation. With the Camp designed to model a mini ‘Master Class,’ all participating students will utilize the Immaculata inventory of professional photography equipment in our Digital Design Studio. No previous experience with photography or Photoshop required!
