Immaculata's commitment to developing the entire person goes beyond the classroom environment. Along with the traditional academic program, students have the opportunity to explore athletics, music, visual and digital arts, student government, clubs, and school activities. Through these sports, teams, clubs and groups, each student can discover ways to become immersed in campus life. Some student wide programs are:

This welcome program is a unique event that gives new students the opportunity to meet before school starts. All of the freshmen and new transfer students are invited to attend 'Lata Living where they participate in games and icebreakers and are introduced to teachers and upperclassmen. Seniors host 'Lata Living and teach new students what it is like to be a member of the Immaculata family. Students can then enter the halls on the first day of school with less apprehension and more excitement. Plus, it formally launches the bonding of the class and the beginning of special friendships.

For generations each fall Immaculata has hosted a Homecoming Celebration at a football game. Alumni return and reconnect. As a school, the key event is the crowning of the Homecoming King and Queen at halftime. The entire school is involved as seniors nominate worthy candidates and the entire school votes on two individuals who best represent Immaculata.  The highly anticipated crowning occurs at half-time. This event, sponsored by the Student Council, is only one of many that this leadership group organizes. Besides the widely popular Spartan Spirit activities (see below), the Council also conducts blood drives, a Powerpuff competition between Junior and Senior Girls, and an annual Secret Santa and holiday breakfast for the faculty.

For decades, Immaculata has celebrated the fun and joy of Spartan Spirit by participating in a week-long school-wide compeition. The week is filled with games and activities that cultimate in the great 'Spartan Spirit Game Night.' This event is a team-building school-uniting tradition that is unreplicable. Held every Winter, Spartan Spirit is highly anticipated and highly enjoyed by students and faculty alike.

Immaculata athletics play an important part in the life of our student athletes. Young people learn a great deal from their participation in interscholastic athletics. Lessons in sportsmanship, teamwork, competition and the grace to win or lose with dignity are integral parts of the team goals in our athletic department. Immaculata's Music Department has an outstanding tradition of excellence. With 12 state and national Marching Band titles, many Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band and Jazz Band honors, along with growing choral and music technology programs, the IHS Music Department offers our students an immense opportunity for talent growth. Clubs are an integral part of a well-rounded education and allow students to pursue specific interests not available in a classroom. This contributes to leadership opportunities and impressive creative outlets. Students are encouraged to take part in as many activities as they can to get the most out of the Immaculata experience. Students are provided the opportunity to become involved in academic clubs, community outreach, or clubs where they can express their individual interests and talents. Click here to learn more!
