Education Required:

Color Guard Caption Manager

Duration: Marching Band Season (April-November)
Salary: Compensation is based upon experience.
The Immaculata High School music department is committed to offering programs to the students of Immaculata High School that build on the school’s collective goals of Faith, Scholarship, Service, and Friendship. The Immaculata Music Department offers a variety of programming welcoming students of all experience levels and recognizing each member’s individual talents and contributions. Faculty and department staff members are the main progenitors of this philosophy.

Color Guard Caption Manager

Immaculata High School Marching Band seeks an experienced Color Guard Educator. This position is to join and lead a returning team of color guard instructors and designers. The caption manager must share our commitment to teaching fundamental skills and effective performance to students at all levels of experience. Previous experience teaching beginning guard members is much preferred. Performance experience in WGI, DCI, or DCA is also preferred. The caption manager will also collaborate with the directors in formulating each week’s rehearsal objectives. They will create and implement effective rehearsal plans for all sectional rehearsals. Participation in show design is welcome but not required.

Substitute Teachers

Immaculata High School is seeking Substitute Teachers for all subjects and for a specific subject. Substitute Teachers at Immaculata perform the instructional and classroom management processes for teachers who are absent for a day or longer periods of time. Their duties include implementing teacher lesson plans and instructions as directed by the absent teacher; maintaining an orderly, clean and respectful classroom; submitting a Substitute Teacher Report Form for the absent teacher at the end of each class; keeping records on attendance, accidents and incidents. In addition, substitute teachers are expected to protect school equipment, materials and facilities, and ensure the safety of students at all times. Substitute teachers report to the Dean of Academics. Candidates need to be flexible in their availability.

Preferred Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Experience working at the high school level or related work experience
  • High level communication and interpersonal skills to work with students and parents
  • Ability to follow and enforce rules, policies, and procedures
  • Must be punctual and reliable
  • Interest in providing students a nurturing classroom environment while maintaining high standards
  • Should be a role-model of the Catholic faith's teachings including personal speech and behavior, and Mass attendance
