Head Coach
David Hobson

David Hobson enters another season as the Head Boys Lacrosse Coach at Immaculata High School, where he has built the program around a strong culture of character, commitment, and community. A graduate of Kean University with a degree in Exercise Science, Hobson was a collegiate team captain and brings that same leadership, discipline, and passion to his coaching.
Before joining Immaculata, Hobson coached at Summit High School for five years, gaining valuable experience and contributing to the development of young athletes across multiple levels.
Since taking over the Spartans, Hobson has led the team to the state playoffs every year except his first, captured a conference championship, and guided Immaculata to the Non-Public B Elite Eight for the first time since 2014—highlighted by a memorable upset over the No. 5 seed.
Under his leadership, the program maintains a 100% college acceptance rate, with recent graduates earning prestigious accolades such as All-American honors for standout players Cole Hayden (University of Richmond) and Kyle Holtby (St. Joseph’s University). Hobson has been recognized as New Jersey Coach of the Year and also serves as the Director of Operations for 3D Garden State, where he supports families and players in navigating the college recruitment process.
Coach Hobson is deeply committed to developing elite athletes who grow into exceptional young men, both on and off the field.
