Kevin Cust, a 2000 graduate of Immaculata High School, has been a central figure in Spartan baseball for decades—as both a record-setting player and a championship-winning coach. A Hall of Fame inductee in 2011, Cust was one of New Jersey’s most dominant high school hitters, earning First Team All-State honors from The Star-Ledger in both 1999 and 2000. He set state records with 33 career home runs and 16 home runs in a single season during his historic 2000 campaign.
After completing his B.A. in History at Kean University in 2012, Cust returned to his alma mater and took over as head coach in 2013. Now entering his 13th season at the helm in 2025, he has elevated Immaculata into one of Central Jersey’s premier baseball programs. Under his leadership, the Spartans captured Somerset County Tournament titles in 2018, 2019, and 2024. In 2022, Cust was recognized as the Central Jersey Sports Radio Baseball Coach of the Year after guiding Immaculata to the Non-Public North B state sectional championship.
In addition to his high school coaching success, Cust has served as the Hitting Coordinator at Diamond Nation since 2008, helping develop hundreds of athletes at one of New Jersey’s top baseball training facilities. His blend of elite playing experience, technical expertise, and passion for player development has earned him a reputation as one of the most respected baseball minds in the region.
