Head Coach
Carolyn McGuire
Carolyn McGuire is a proud alumni of Immaculata High School, Class of 2016, where she spent all four years cheering as a Spartan Cheerleader. Her passion for the sport continued at Saint Joseph’s University, where she cheered for four years on both the basketball cheer team and the competitive cheer team, becoming an NCA D1 All-Girl National Champion in 2019.
Now in her fifth year coaching at Immaculata, Carolyn leads the Football Cheer Team as well as the Competitive Cheer Teams—Game Day and Traditional. The football cheer program has grown tremendously under her leadership and now includes 44 incredible athletes, including 15 dedicated seniors.
The competition cheer program has also reached remarkable milestones, including:
- 10th in the Nation – Game Day (2022)
- 10th in the Nation – Traditional Routine (2025)
- Game Day Regional Champions (2022 & 2024)
Carolyn is especially proud of her athletes’ continued success after high school. She currently has former Immaculata cheerleaders cheering at the collegiate level at Clemson University, Roanoke College, the University of Scranton, and Sacred Heart University. Supporting these alumni—whether celebrating their accomplishments or welcoming them back to visit—is one of her greatest joys.
Above all, Carolyn believes in creating an environment where athletes feel supported, empowered, and proud to represent the Spartan community. To her, cheerleading at Immaculata is more than a program—it’s a family, and she is honored to be part of it.
