The Immaculata Boys Cross Country team finished their remarkable season by competing at the NJ Meet of Champions at Holmdel Park. Last week's meet earned the boys the opportunity to toe the line with the best runners in NJ and many of the top runners in the nation.
The team was led by junior James Ptack, who placed 41st and ran 12 seconds faster than last week on the same course.
The team placed 17th in the state and was the highest scoring Non-Public B squad, beating State Champion Newark Academy by 135 points as the 5 scoring Spartan team members finished before their 3rd runner.
The Meet of Champions capped off a historic season for the Spartans in which the team earned several titles including Skyland Conference Championship—Division Champions, NJCTC Championship—1st place, and 2nd place in the NJSIAA Non-Public "B" Group Championship.
