Students in Dr. Bob’s Anatomy and Physiology class are learning about anatomy. Using a chicken to get a closer anatomical look, students learned how to apply their skills in dissecting skeletal muscles, a tibia, ribs, and kidneys. They were taught to diligently remove fascia to get a glimpse of the quadriceps muscles, find bone marrow, see red blood cells, and explore the medullary cavity. This hands-on lab allowed students to apply the knowledge taught in class and expand their understanding of anatomy.
These young “doctors” will no doubt help heal the world.
