IHS Founder

The late Monsignor Eugene B. Kelly was the founder of the school in 1962 and its director until his death in 1985. During his tenure as pastor of Immaculate Conception Parish in Somerville, Msgr. Kelly completed the plans for the opening of Immaculate Conception School in 1957, built Immaculata High School in 1962, and rebuilt the Immaculate Conception Church in 1975, just over 10 years after the original church burned down Msgr. Kelly was the cornerstone of this school; without his leadership, faith, and drive, Immaculata would not exist.
