For years Immaculata has brought the Christmas spirit to Wayne County, WV, by hosting a party with gifts, food, and games for the local youngsters. The gifts are donated by Spartans and others and each year a small group of current students qualify to make the long weekend trip to this financially disadvantaged area. For the past 5 years a group of alumni also have made the trek to Appalachia and hosted a party. In 2018 both groups had parties at the same location on consecutive days, broadening the number of people that they could serve at the same center. In six months a large contingent of Spartans will return to this location to help local residents with needed home repairs. Spartan Spirit at its best.
