Visual & Media Arts Clubs

Art Club

The Art Club is a forum for students who are interested in expressing their creativity and would like to have hands-on experience in various forms of artistic media. The club, which is open to students of all grade levels, meets weekly after school. The Art Club works on group projects guided by the Art Department Chairwoman and/or outside art groups. The club also provides the opportunity to work on independent projects under the tutelage of the moderator.

Students'works are showcased in the IHS Festival of the Arts. Some of the projects the club has created include rain barrel construction and decoration (in collaboration with Rutgers Cooperative Extension), posters to decorate a wing of Children's Hospital, t-shirt designs for various events, a public wall mural in conjunction with Combat Paper/NJ Print Center, and participation in the Arts on Division Festival in Somerville, NJ.
