Head Coach

Gary Bury

Coach Bury

Coach
Bury enters his 7th season as The Spartans Head Coach in 2026. The past 4 seasons things have turned around tremendously at IHS as they have a 67-37-win loss record. In addition, they captured back-to-back Somerset County Championships, their first since 2007. Coach Bury has high praise for his hardworking/dedicated student athletes. “Our kids come to Immaculata to achieve great success, both in the classroom and on the athletic field. They are all self-motivated to be the best they can be, I am blessed to be able to work with them all.”

Assistant Coach

Francesca Toracca '18

Fran T

Coach Torocca enters her first year as a Spartan softball assistant, bringing a fresh perspective and strong commitment to the program’s continued success.

“I grew up playing softball and quickly developed a deep love for the game. At Immaculata High School, I made my mark as an outfielder and left-handed slapper, breaking several school records and helping lead my team to strong finishes throughout my career. My passion and dedication earned me the opportunity to represent Puerto Rico on the national team for three years, competing with both the women’s and juniors' teams. I continued my softball journey at the University of Washington, where I competed in the Women’s College World Series as a freshman—an unforgettable experience at the highest level of collegiate softball. After COVID-19 disrupted my sophomore season, I realized I wanted to be closer to home and transferred to Monmouth University, where I finished my collegiate career. While earning my master’s degree, I also coached for two seasons at Montgomery High School, mentoring young athletes and sharing the same energy, discipline, and love for the game that shaped my own career.

Now, I’ve come full circle—returning to Immaculata as a school counselor, NCAA Coordinator, and assistant softball coach alongside Coach Bury. It’s an honor to give back to the community and program that sparked my passion for the game and personal growth.”
