Dallas Whitaker ’11 enters his first season as Head Football Coach at Immaculata High School, returning to his alma mater with a championship pedigree and a deep connection to the Spartan tradition. A former team captain and two-time state champion, Whitaker started 31 consecutive varsity games and helped lead Immaculata to state championship appearances during his playing career.
After graduating from Immaculata, Whitaker continued his football career at Rutgers University as a walk-on player before transitioning into a student assistant coaching role under head coach Kyle Flood. His time at Rutgers helped shape his coaching philosophy and ignited his passion for developing student-athletes and building successful programs.
Whitaker returns to Immaculata after a highly successful tenure at Somerville High School, where he helped guide the program to a 57-7 record, six consecutive conference championships, a state sectional title, and multiple state final appearances. Recognized nationally as a member of the American Football Coaches Association's prestigious 35 Under 35 Coaches Leadership Institute, Whitaker brings proven leadership, championship experience, and a vision for excellence as he begins a new era of Spartan Football.
Football Program Director
Jeff Vanderbeek
Jeff Vanderbeek enters his first season as Football Program Director at Immaculata High School, bringing decades of leadership experience in athletics, business, and community engagement. A lifelong Somerset County resident, Vanderbeek was a standout football player at Bridgewater-Raritan East High School before continuing his playing career at the College of William & Mary as a running back.
Following a highly successful 25-year career in finance, Vanderbeek became chairman and managing partner of the National Hockey League's New Jersey Devils and played a key role in the development, ownership, and operation of the Prudential Center in Newark.
Vanderbeek later turned his focus to coaching and player development, helping transform the football program at Somerville High School. Alongside Dallas Whitaker, he guided the Pioneers to six consecutive conference championships, a state sectional title, and a 57-7 record from 2016-2021, establishing one of New Jersey's most successful programs.
As Program Director, Vanderbeek brings a championship mindset, proven leadership, and a commitment to developing young men both on and off the field. His vision for Immaculata Football emphasizes excellence, character, teamwork, and building a program that competes at the highest level while preparing student athletes for success in life beyond football.
