What is the HSPT?
The High School Placement Test (HSPT) is an assessment used by many Catholic high schools throughout the country and a required part of the admissions process for high schools in the Diocese of Metuchen. The exam is approximately 2.5 hours long. The format of the test is multiple choice. Students are tested on reading, sentence completion, verbal skills, spelling and vocabulary, and quantitative skills. Students can only take the HSPT one time so thorough preparation is critical. The HSPT prep course offered at Immaculata High School prepares students for all areas of the exam.
The cost for the HSPT prep course is $225 which includes:
- Ten 1-hour sessions, taught by Immaculata faculty
- The HSPT prep workbook
- The testing fee for students taking the HSPT at Immaculata High School on November 4, 10, or 11.
Session dates are Tuesdays and Thursdays, October 3, 5, 10, 12, 17, 19, 24, 26, 31 and November 2 from 3:30 - 4:30 pm.
