Casey Ransone '99

Casey RansoneCasey Ransone entered Immaculata in the fall of 1995 after excelling in various sports in the Hillsborough youth leagues. As a freshman, Casey appeared in a state semi-final at FDU in front of 6,000 fans against St. Patrick’s and he quickly realized how much hard work had to be done to become an outstanding athlete. Casey took on this task right away. Off-season weight training and conditioning further developed Casey’s athletic skills.

In his sophomore year at Immaculata, he made the varsity basketball team and from there he went on to be a stellar performer. While training at Immaculata he gained good size, strength, and quickness and by junior year, he excelled as a wide receiver and linebacker in football and was a dominant performer on the basketball court. Casey was on the receiving end of a passing duo that was extremely dynamic and explosive as he went on to make 84 pass receptions and score 140 total points as well as 189 tackles.

In basketball, he scored 1,043 total points. Casey was a captain of both sports teams and received acclaim as an All Conference and All County performer. After graduating from high school, Casey attended the University of Maine where he played several positions and was named the team’s “Maine Man” for his leadership abilities. After overcoming an injury, he finished his collegiate career at Montclair State University. Casey has coached football and basketball at Immaculata and Elizabeth High School where he presently serves as a physical education teacher.
