Tom Brislin '91

Tom BrislinPrimarily a pianist and keyboardist, Tom flourished in the Immaculata Jazz Band, and learned percussion and woodwinds for the opportunity to participate in the award-winning Immaculata Marching, Concert, and Symphonic Bands. During college at William Paterson University, he was a standout in the Jazz Studies program and a member of the prestigious New Jazz Ensemble. He has performed and recorded worldwide with multi-platinum artists and has appeared in several concert films.

Tom is also a prolific composer and producer. He founded the modern rock band, Spiraling, and produced five albums of original compositions for the group from 1994 to 2008. He wrote, produced, and recorded his first solo album Hurry Up and Smell the Roses. In 2016, he co-founded an exciting enterprise called Accessing Music with fellow IHS alumna Karen Zielinski Kowalski ‘93. The program enables disabled individuals to perform music in groups with the use of cutting-edge technology.
