Students in the Health Science Career Program are very busy in the anatomy lab as they continue their study of the anatomy and structure of the heart. Through the process of dissecting a sheep's heart, the students are able to observe the four chambers, heart valves, and the three portals of circulation that include pulmonic, systemic, and coronary systems.  They have also discussed how mechanical and pig valves can replace human valves to restore normal cardiac function.
